How we replace a window
Whether it is a single window installation or a full window replacement for the whole house, the process is the same. We remove the old unit without damaging the surrounding wall, check the opening for rot or water damage, then set the new window level and square on shims. The gap around the frame is insulated with low-expansion foam, the exterior is sealed, and the interior is finished with trim so the job looks complete, not patched.
Most of the work is done room by room, so the house is only open to the weather for a short time at each opening.
Door installation
For interior doors we hang, trim and fit hardware, either in the existing frame or as a pre-hung unit. For exterior and patio doors we pay close attention to the sill and threshold, where most leaks start, and make sure the door closes and locks without force.
Supply or install only
As a window contractor we are not tied to one manufacturer. If you have already chosen your windows or doors, we install them. If you want us to supply, we source through our suppliers and show you the receipt so you can see what the materials cost.
